Jessica McCarthy, Private Chef

I'm Jess, and I would like to be your Chef. I started my business because I see a need in today's food culture that is not being met, and I have the abilities and expertise to help. 

​

Right now you can get delivery from almost any restaurant, have someone shop and deliver your groceries, or even have subscription box services that give you planned meals to cook at home. You can do all of this without even talking to a person. Sometimes, convenience is key, but when our food culture revolves around convenience over everything else we lose so much. Food is not just sustenance or flavor. It is the one thing that we truly all have in common. Cooking is an expression of our heritage and creativity, it is a language of love, and sharing a meal with others is the ultimate bonding experience.

I am passionate about growing, cooking, and enjoying food. I have a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Rochester, and 20 years of experience in the food service industry. I am certified from the Rouxby Chef Program through Wegmans from when I worked as a Cooking Coach and a Catering Team Leader, and have successfully planned and ran hundreds of private events and dinners. My years of knowledge allow me to tailor your event to your palette, budget, and space without you having to worry about a thing.

 

 As your personal chef, I will bring life to your kitchen and memories to your home. I will teach you how to cook so you can make your own future memories, or provide you with weekly meal preparations so that you have more time for you. I will help you plan your big event from start to finish, and I will be there to personally ensure it is a success.
